As our region continues to recover from this week’s severe flooding and evacuations, I want to express our shared concern for those who have been impacted — whether directly or through loved ones.

As we prepare to gather with loved ones to celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday, I am grateful to be a member of this community of care, dedicated to our Jesuit values, to academic excellence, and to empowering our students to become leaders for a just and humane world. 

ħ¶¼×ÊÔ´Íø will close on Tuesday, Nov. 11, in observance of Veterans Day. This is a time to honor and express our deep gratitude to all who have served and continue to serve in the United States Armed Forces.

I am delighted to announce that Jordan Talge has been appointed Vice President and University Counsel, a role in which he will continue to provide exceptional leadership and legal guidance for ħ¶¼×ÊÔ´Íø.

I write to share bittersweet news that I will be stepping down as President of ħ¶¼×ÊÔ´Íø to become President at Georgetown University. My last day as your president will be at the end of winter quarter in March.

In light of President Peñalver’s announcement this morning, I want to express the Board of Trustees’ deep gratitude for Eduardo’s exceptional leadership and to share the path forward for ħ¶¼×ÊÔ´Íø.
